Donghoon Kang

I am a Senior Researcher at Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Seoul, Korea,
and an Adjunct Professor of University of Science and Technology (UST), Seoul, Korea.

I was awarded the Gold Medal from IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement for the outstanding performance as one of the most productive reviewers
over the past seven years (2014-2020). I was also selected as one of the Outstanding Reviewers for IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement (2017-2020).

From 2021 to 2024, I was an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, specializing in robotics and artificial intelligence.
My research interests include latent variable optimization in robotics and machine learning, and video understanding using deep learning.
